Ready To Rise Coaching with Destiny Coaching and consulting
The ultimate goal of Ready to Rise is to build a system that replaces structures of punishment and incarceration rooted in racism with liberatory programs centered on healing, learning, and opportunity. R2R funded 49 nonprofits in Los Angeles County to provide holistic support to youth impacted by systemic injustices.
In addition to program grant funding, R2R grantees were paired with a Destiny/Ready to Rise coach and were part of a cohort-based learning community.
About Our Approach
The Ready to Rise coaching team centered relationships, racial equity and community building to support grantees in their capacity building journey. We supported R2R grantees to uplift values-aligned and culturally resonant practices that support the individual, the organization and the communities they serve.
The Coaching Team also designed and provided cohort-wide convenings and unique programming (Coffee Talks, ED Support Spaces, the Black Affinity Group) to facilitate peer connection, skills-building and field building across the cohort.
